Schematic sequence of an implant treatment

The course of treatment step by step

We look after you throughout the entire course of treatment - from the first diagnosis and the placement of the implants to the fitting of your new, fixed teeth.

How many appointments are needed and how long the individual phases take depends on your findings. We discuss the schedule with you before treatment begins.

A well-established team with more than 20 years of experience

You are met by a well-established team with more than 20 years of experience in implantation and bone augmentation. Implants are placed under hygienically optimal conditions in dedicated operating rooms.

Before an implant is placed, the teeth are restored and any gum disease is treated and cured. After thorough diagnostics and planning, we place the implant on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia, sedation or, if you wish, under general anaesthesia.

During a healing period defined individually - as a rule six to eight weeks - the bone fuses firmly with the implant and forms a secure basis for the new teeth. During this time we provide you with a temporary denture.

Once healing is complete, the new teeth - crowns, bridges or dentures - are attached to the implants in our practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does an implant treatment proceed?
First, existing teeth are restored and gum disease is treated. Then follow diagnostics and planning, the outpatient placement of the implant, the healing period and finally the attachment of the restoration.
How long does it take for an implant to heal in?
As a rule six to eight weeks. During this time the bone bonds firmly with the implant; we determine the exact duration individually, based on the findings.
Do I have to walk around with a gap during the healing period?
No. For the healing phase you receive a temporary restoration from us.
How many appointments should I plan for?
That depends on the scope of the treatment. We discuss the schedule with all appointments with you before the treatment starts.
