Tooth correction in adults

Crooked teeth but no desire for fixed braces? In adults, correcting the position of the teeth is readily possible provided the periodontium is healthy. A panoramic X-ray (OPG) provides information about this.

Entirely without metal in the mouth: treatment with aligners

Gaps between the teeth and crooked teeth can nowadays be treated entirely without metal in the mouth. With removable, flexible and transparent plastic aligners the correction can be carried out particularly discreetly and aesthetically. We use custom-made, almost invisible aligners that do not get in the way in everyday life.

The correction aligners made individually for you are changed regularly and move your teeth step by step into the desired position. A single aligner moves the teeth only by fractions of a millimetre; the entire series is planned with computer support. The aligners get in the way neither when speaking nor when eating and can be taken out by you at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you still get a brace at 40?
Yes. Teeth can be moved at almost any age as long as the periodontium is healthy. We check that beforehand with an overview X-ray.
What are aligners?
Removable, transparent plastic trays that are made individually for you. They are changed regularly and move the teeth step by step into the planned position.
Are the transparent trays visible?
They are almost invisible and hardly noticeable in conversation – unlike a fixed brace with brackets.
Do I have to take the aligner out to eat?
Yes, you take the aligner out for eating and drinking and for brushing your teeth. Otherwise it should be worn as continuously as possible so that the teeth move as planned.
