A lost tooth does not have to remain a gap

We often only appreciate the value of a natural tooth once we have lost it. The reasons for tooth loss are varied - anyone who loses teeth naturally wants a good replacement.

In almost every situation, implantology offers a flexible, gentle, reliable and aesthetically demanding solution for fixed dentures. Implants are a firm part of our range of treatments.

Detailed consultation before an implant treatment

Without fear and without stress

We are aware that pain - or even just the fear of it - can be a major problem. As caring practitioners we feel it is our duty to guide you safely through your dental treatment.

As a specialist practice for implantology with more than 20 years of experience, we can offer every form of anaesthesia and intraoperative monitoring. We are supported by specialists in anaesthesia who carry out all forms of anaesthesia - including in difficult cases - using state-of-the-art equipment.

Surgery and prosthetics under one roof

The training and experience of the practitioner and the implant systems used play a particular role in achieving the best possible result of an implant placement and rapid, trouble-free healing.

In our practice we use exclusively implant systems whose biocompatibility is documented in scientific studies. For a successful implantological solution, not only does the implant have to be optimally anchored in the bone - an individual denture tailored precisely to you also has to be produced and fitted.

You get both from one source with us: at every stage of your treatment you remain in familiar surroundings and with the same contacts.

Let us advise you about implants

In a personal consultation we clarify whether and how an implant is the right solution in your situation.

Teeth with which you do not notice that they are not your own

We offer implantology from one source: in our practice implants are placed and restored prosthetically as well. The challenge in aesthetic implantology is to integrate individual teeth into an otherwise intact, natural environment. We place implants exactly where the prosthetic planning requires them.

Our many years of experience in implant surgery and prosthetics and the use of modern technology allow us to offer patients fixed, implant-supported dentures in almost every situation - even after longer periods without teeth or when the bone available is limited. If individual teeth are missing, we close the gaps with implant-supported teeth. The healthy neighbouring teeth are spared because they do not have to be ground down.

The key facts at a glance

  • An implant is an artificial tooth root that is anchored in the jawbone and carries a crown, bridge or denture.
  • Surgery and prosthetics take place in the same practice - from planning to the finished denture you stay with the same contacts.
  • Only implant systems whose biocompatibility is scientifically documented are used.
  • On request, treatment is possible under local anaesthesia, sedation or general anaesthesia; specialists in anaesthesia support us in this.
  • Even after longer periods without teeth or with little bone, fixed dentures can be planned in many cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a dental implant?
An implant is a small artificial tooth root, usually made of titanium or ceramic, that is placed in the jawbone. Once it has healed in, it carries a crown, a bridge or a denture.
Does placing an implant hurt?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic and is therefore usually free of pain. If you wish, or if you are very anxious, we can also treat you under sedation or general anaesthetic - together with our anaesthesia team.
Who places the implant and who makes the crown on top?
We do both in our own practice. That is an advantage for you, because the implant position and the later restoration are planned to match each other right from the start.
Do healthy neighbouring teeth have to be ground down for an implant?
No. Unlike a bridge, the implant is anchored in the bone on its own. The neighbouring teeth remain untouched.
Is an implant still possible if I have been missing teeth for a long time?
Often yes. After a longer period without teeth the bone has frequently become narrower; we then use a three-dimensional scan to check whether a bone graft makes sense.
How do I find out whether an implant is an option for me?
We clarify that in a consultation including an examination and an X-ray. We also discuss the alternatives, the schedule and the costs before you decide.
